Work It Out... The Interview

The job interview....very little can strike up as much terror in a man as the job interview. Here, we guide you through the ordeal that can leave even the most confident of guys curled up crying for mother's breast. You're through the door, now what...
CV
Always have a copy of your CV with you - it shows that you're organised and allows you to refer to any points you wish to highlight.
ESP
Most interviews contain the similar 30 questions, find these on the internet and rehearse your answers the night before.
The Outfit
Try and dress as if you already work there, it can convince your audience that you will fit in. Although, if the work place is uber-casual then a smart suit and tie is never a bad choice.
The Opening Gambit
When asked 'So tell me about yourself...' assume they haven't read your CV and hit them with 'As you can see from my CV...' and continue with your work history.
Why You?
That's the most important issue for your potential employer; tackle this by outlining what you'd do if you started tomorrow.
Questions
Always have a list of questions handy...interest in the role and the company is always a plus in the interviewer's book
Shoe of Choice
Always choose a smart, clean line Base London lace-up shoe, however the detailing shouldn't outshine your CV. Memories of your personality should be left behind, not your footwear. Make sure they are polished and the colour is in line with your suit.
