Wear It Well... Knitwear

Having shaken the stigma of being grandad-wear with the sleeve housing a damp hanky, knitwear has re emerged like a phoenix from theflames and become staple winter wear. However it still takes guts to pull on a cardy for the first time and strut it down the high street. Keepit simple and avoid looking like your Gran knitted it for you, or you're part of a 70's Swedish porno by following Base London's simple ruleson how to wear it well...Knitwear.

Fat Guy

Darker coloured fabrics have a slimming effect and a heavyweight jumper will look like it's swamping you. Therefore think dark colours, and lightweight fabrics. A horizontal stripe makes you look wider...so stay away!

Thin Guy

Quite simply go for big chunky knits, these will make you look bulkier, and to be honest, if you're really skinny you'll probably appreciate the warmth. Make sure it fits snuggly as well.

Built Guy

If your body was paid for by a gym membership, you still need to be aware of the knit that would suit you the best, we all have rules. Just as the Fat Guy, steer clear of bulky weight fabrics, however a tighter more fitted jumper will reveal your physique.

Little Guy

If you're not the tallest of guys, avoid extra chunky knits that drown you and weigh you down. If you get a knit with a vertical stripe this will give the
illusion of height, however you can still ignore the mind your head signs.
