1. Cannabis (aka. Blow, Ganja, Hash, Weed, Dope).
Known on the street as weed, hash, dope, the cannabis sativa plant or resin from it, is a relaxant but stronger forms can also cause hallucinations and panic attacks. Users commonly get 'the muchines' and tend to slow down. Schizophrenia and paranoia and other health problems are common side effects.
Cannabis comes in a variety of forms and strengths, can cost between £40 and £140 per ounce, and is by far the most common of all drugs. Declassified to a class C drug, it is regularly reviewed for re-classification to a class B, although it is still illegal to be in pocession however the punishments are less servere.
2. Cocaine (aka. Coke, Charlie, Toot).
The Hollywood drug, Cocaine, is made from leaves of the coca bush. The effects of the white powder increases alertness and confidence but raises heart rate and blood pressure. Users crave more and more of the class 'A' drug yet a gram cost anything from £40. Cocaine claims the lives of more and more victims every year, but the most common effects are servere paranioa and depression. Being a class A it's illegal to be in pocession, with the posibility of a lengthy jail term, dealing could get you life.
3. Ecstasy (aka. E, Pills, Mitsubishi's)
A drug synonymous with 90's rave culture, the up would last for hours before the eventual comedown. MDMA, or similar man made chemicals, causes adrenaline rushes and feelings of well-being but also anxiety and high body temperature. Evidence suggests that E's can cause damage to the brain and long term issues such as, depression, schizophrenia and memory loss .
With a pill having a street value of between £2 and £8 they are rarely pure and laced with sunstances to make them cheaper. However cheapness comes at a cost with over 200 Ecstasy related deaths since 1996, and causes difficulties with liver, kidney and heart problems.
