Winter 2010 sees Base London test the water and experiment with fresh innovation in their footwear collection, introducing a wide selection of leather finishes and a fashion focused edge. A collection that, whilst still including the tried and trusted signature Base London styles, reveals a new daring approach from the men's footwear brand

A sublime mix of casual and formal styles, that both register a selection of shoes and boots, combine to make the most of the season's testing climate. On the casual front, a range of classic moccasin boots and rubber soled, sports inspired styles combine to give the provide the perfect offering whilst the formal range reveals intense fashion interpretations to classic styling, infusing new leather finishes.

Highlights from the Base London Winter 2010 range include, from the casual collection, Chip a cool and comfortable soft-soled boot with intricate stitch detailing, offering a modern twist to a classic casual that is making a big comeback for winter. Teamed nicely with a pair of cool jeans, Base London's Chip is the gig-goers favourite.

The formal collection is where Base London really shows their creative flair. Stage and Screen, the main formal protagonists, reveal a classic smart shoe silhouette that is brought bang up to date with an artistic finish. Stage, a plain toe oxford and Screen, a trend-led wingtip (right), are subtly enhanced by the use of vintaged leathers, a process of washing and chemically treating the leather to produce an aged look that doesn't compromise on the quality. The result is a perfectly rounded formal range that brings a fashion edge to commercial footwear styles.

Base London's winter boot range reveals an extremely fashion focused selection that again pushes boundaries and challenges the brand's commercial perception.
