Mind, Body & Sole
London is the perfect creative backdrop for so many talented individuals and this Autumn Winter 17 Base London will be shining a light on the city's hidden artisans and craftsmen. Using short documentaries and Triptych style portraits to tell their story, each individual holds something of meaning to them or their profession.
The first we’ll be shining a light on this season is La Touché AKA Mr. Hat, a hat restorer and brand consultant from North London. Inspired by his Grandfather’s love of hats, La Touche honed his craft with Keely Hunter and Lock & Co. Treating hats like his patients, La Touche performs surgery on them, restoring them to their former glory.
Interesting Fact: La Touche also played drums for Rhianna at the Brit Awards!
This season's formal shoes feature a variety of classic styles in seasonally perfect colour ways. Highlights include the incredibly dapper 'Bartley' (featured below) with its contrasting waxy uppers and fringe detailing, reminiscent of 1920's fashion. Our new Sterling range is built on an elegant sole with a chiselled toe, sure to be a favourite amongst Groomsman and Race day enthusiasts.
On Trend Footwear
At its heart, Base London will forever be a men's fashion brand. Always endeavouring to find the shoe of the moment, this season's collection features exaggerated rubber sole units inspired by the Bauhaus art movement, bold silhouettes and cup soled formal trainers.
